The staff have long expressed that there are certain kinds of bigotry that simply aren't themely within the vision they have for SD, and that while it's not expressly against the rules to ICly express those kinds of views, characters doing so should probably expect to be treated with pointed attention for doing so, because it's an out-of-place behavior in 2105.
It's also been generally encouraged that if people are encountering behavior IC they have disdain for but that isn't necessarily breaking the rules, to 'handle it IC'.
It sounds like what happened here was fine.
