Briefcases

ok so I realize briefcases are small, but the only hting you can fit inside them is chyen, and papers, can't even put dice in them for god's sake.  limit the size sure, but every briefcase I've seen regardless of the design or size can fit random 'briefcase sized' stuff in it.

Their limited by type of object, not weight. We'd still have too many cases of screwed up things in the briefcases.
i can see it now…

you go to open up your briefcase and as you flip the latch, it explodes open as the limbs of a beaten male corpse flail out in all directions...

[later that samn evening]

you look around the [insert random sekrit hideout here] and notice a briefcase walking away.  are those hands coming out the bottom of it?

werd.

don't you think it's just slightly too limited?

don't answer that if you don't want to.

Yes, it is too limited. Am I going to do anything about it soon? No.
Jotun, you weren't around in the era of boxes… and for that, you aren't held accountable for anything you say. *winks*

Containers are ALWAYS a problem in a game... PERIOD. If you want any ounce of realism, you need to have everything sized, and then all containers sized to see if something fits.

Boxes used to be in game, and they were described as being i think 4 inches deep, 7 inches wide, a foot long.

I can tell you for a fact that I once took one from a corpse that held over 17 guns and 3 sets of Xo3. Thats DEFINATELY not realistic.

Once the get around to sizing things to the point where it DOES work... we'll be fine. The way I see, the most realistic would be having everything 3D as far as the MOO is concerned, so that if something is 3x3x8... and a box is 4x4x7... you can't fit it in.... or something like that. but it gets really complicated, like... how much space would turning something that is 3x8x2 so that it fits in a 5x5x10 container...

I don't want to even think about it...

that reminds me of the time i found a mythicalish looking, winged humanoid fast sleep inside a stuffed shipping crate.
Uhm..  riiiight..
