I was wondering if say you have two things in your char's hands,a lighter in the right and a knife in the left, and you want to put away the lighter but still have the knife in your other hand, can you do that? And also if you want to pick something up, can you specify which hand you want to pick the item up with?

You can type:
stash <item>
to put one item away but no you can't pick up an item into a certain hand.

Nope, not really a reason to do that though. Maybe once we introduce hand preference and ambidexterity.
