I think a nice addition to guarding entrances and exits, is to 'allow' an individual through! This could make the action seen as less of a 'hostile' action and more of an 'inspection' action, while still maintaining the functionality of it while trying to be evil and murdery!
edit: yes you can unguard reguard, but this makes it a seamless action instead of having to type allat nonesense

maybe a really small timing window, like 30 seconds until the permission fades?
