Proposing a sort of sample apartment in each of the apartments that's always unlocked, so people can go in and tour the places before renting. I think it helps to make sure that people sort of know what they're renting before they spend a heap of money on something that they might not want.

Plenty of places have multiple layouts, though.

Alternative suggestion: A pamphlet or sign at the location, advertising what comes with each place.

Bonus points: Ask management for each place ICly if you could make this.

Even more points: Ask a PC who lives there for the layouts.
