Simple feature request of appear.
Once you have the appropriate disguise and charisma, you should be able to access lower descriptors of your appearance using the appear command. i.e. appear ugly/plain/good-looking/etc.

Folks remember when we were asked not to post +1s and instead were urged to provide constructive criticism in our replays?
I think this is acceptable, but if you can pretend to be ugly you should also (with enough skill) be able to beautify yourself to pretend to be more attractive (real life make-up already works like this).
Also I don't think this would work along with disguise items that hide your facial features for obvious reasons.

If you put it that way, you should also be able to hold back specific stats/skills and not your entire tree when you use the @holdback command.

For anything else, I'd agree. For Disguise specifically, @holdback is a detriment.
There Is a workaround, but it's incredibly convoluted and it will test your sanity.

Maybe Artistry can play a role in this as well? So you could have legit Master Makeup Artists IC who can make you look way prettier (or uglier) than you actually are!
At least until you shower. 😉

I'm not a big fan of appear boosting your charisma descriptor. A lot of people rely on that descriptor to know how to treat a person. Being able to appear with it would be far too powerful to other pcs, who can't run skill checks on a person's charisma. I'd like a way to smear dirt on my face and be uglier though.
