Different scabbards
Just find it odd

Hello everyone. Ever since I started playing SD, I found it really odd that it didn't have traditionally worn sword scabbards (on the hip, like a samurai,usually both a wakisashi and katana) and while the back scabbards are cool, I'd like there to be an option for a traditional scabbard.

Ontop of that (this one is more…just for fun or aesthetics), I'd like a quick draw or more...cowboy or roguish in style. Everything offered holster wise is very professional, and while that makes sense topside, I doubt every mixer is wearing a tactical holster or a police issue belt holster. Would just add to the style once again.

Collective crit please.

I'd be all for this. I'd also like to see more melee slings. On top of the tactical slings it would make sense for many melee weapons to be worn on a sling on the back (baseball bats, cricket bats, hockey sticks, etc).

I'd like to see more holsters in general for close combat weapons.

One can wear tailored items on top or alongside the coded ones. GMs have a lot of more important things to work on, in my opinion.
'One can wear tailored items on top or alongside the coded ones. GMs have a lot of more important things to work on, in my opinion.'

They do but that's a pretty shoddy workaround. With an infinitely expanding litany of tasks for the GMs to address, 'GMs have more important things to work on' seems to be the stock response to these threads (I know I've certainly done it).

Would a GM be interested in posts containing suggestions for new holsters with a full set of corresponding @messages? I realize there's much more to consider than @messages in the development and integration of new items but it might be a starting point.

@Euclid

It's the stock response for exactly that reason. There's an infinite amount of things the GMs could do to expand the game until it becomes a perfect simulation of a near-future Cyberpunk world. And making new items requires lots of balancing, considerations in the scope of the economical system, and so on.

You can certainly send them suggestions and contributions to [email protected]

So if you have an item idea and you want to write the @messages for it, knock yourself out!

Johnny doesn't want MOO bloat, which is why we don't have a ton of different types of scabbards as they would effectively all do the same thing.
