Dissolving Genetek Jumpsuits
Because that shit is paper, yo.

In recent years I've noticed a lot more people dying and choosing to live in the paper Genetek jumpsuits that are issued at the vats. I know the usual response to something like this is that it's a comminity issue not a mechanics issue, but I think Genetek issued jumpsuits should eventually disintegrate after a day or two. Wearing paper scrubs for weeks is a really annoying no-sell, in my opinion, and there are extremely cheap clothing options available anyways.
A person could just get like.. 20 Genetek jumpsuits printed out if that wound up becoming a thing, and it'll contribute to the bloat.
I guess that's the kind of mindset that put us here in the first place.
Mindset is certainly the correct word for it. I think as a culture we could rectify this by simply not doing business with a "vatjob in genetek yellows" and making sure those we ICly care for are provided appropriate garments.
I always got the impression that wearing the yellows was an embarrassing thing that you wanted to rectify quickly. Why are people on the side of "lol I'll just bloat the game"? That's weird. +1 to original idea of making them dissolve.
Additionally, is no selling something that's actively punished? Or do we just have to sort of deal with it when it crops up? I ran into it not terribly long ago and it was incredibly immersion shattering.
Devils Advocate speaking.

I can think of a few perfectly IC reasons to wear the jumpsuit.

Even some off the wall ones. Like, "I'm not taking these off until my killer has their own pair."

What's the big deal? If someone wants to stink like the vats and wear week old paper clothes, why make a big deal out of it?

What about 99% of the player base who literally wears the exact same thing the day in, day out, for months on end?

I agree with Hek here. Maybe you want to show that your character is a loony. Or they wear it because it's supposed to be embarrassing, to show that no fucks are given. Our PCs are allowed to do dumb shit, it's part of the fun.
They are paper scrubs, healthcare workers can barely get a set to last them a full day in a dry environment, let alone walking around for weeks in rain and doing acrobatics in them.
