Expand popops
Add different calibers and types

Starting this thread from the thread about reloading disposable firearms.

I believe that disposable firearm types should be expanded to include rifles and sub guns. I also believe that the caliber's that are available should be expanded upon. Given that they are one magazine use weapons and can't be modified it should be appropriate to have them in higher caliber (this is not to say common, but rather available)

Thoughts?

Can you expand upon your expectations of the resulting changes? PopPops are advertised as essentially a self defense mechanism for non-combatant civilians in their own homes, essentially.

How do you envision these changes that you've proposed impacting the game?

I personally don't think that PopPops need more calibers than the ones that're already available. They're supposed to be cheap, disposable, one and done kinda weapons that once you're done with, you throw in the trash. They're there to get your ass out of a pinch, and be thrown away when they make the dreaded click, not be remotely effective outside of an emergency piece.

However, we absolutely need versions for the other firearm types. Granted, this is an issue that stems from pistols at large, honestly. They're infinitely more abundant in capacity than any other firearm in the game, and are the only class with disposables. The other gun types need the same kinda love, even if they're functionally identical, but thematically different to the current PopPops that exist.

While they may be advertised as such, nobody with zero skill in pistol is going to bother buying, storing, and carrying a popop with the inherit legal risks (in most cases) associated with possession of one. I've heard of some advantages of using a popop Icly, and while I have no idea if they are true or not, would make higher caliber and expanded mechanisms more useful. It makes sense to me in a disposable society.
