I was just thinking, when you walk into a room, and someone is holding a mug of beer, that's not something that you notice. Perhaps when someone's got a phone, you may, and a gun, definitely. I was thinking that whenever someone is talking on a phone, say, it could be added to their look_place_msg. And of course, if they've got a gun, you'd see that, too, definitely. I don't always want to 'l ' everyone in the room. This would be a pretty cool feature to me, but I want to know what others think of it. Rip it apart. :)

But people don't do that, when you've got your gun or whatever out, the last thing on your mind is making sure that your @look_place shows you've got a gun. Normally, people with guns don't have time to do that anyway, if you've got your gun out, something's going down.

If they're sitting down look place doesn't show up anyway because the fact that they are sitting supersedes it.

Perhaps the answer would be to have a command like status or something similar where you would type:

score Tash

and see just the last parts of the look Tash

Tash is holding a 9mm Beretta and a box of chocolates.
She is in excellent health.

Then yes, you'd have to do that for each player you could see, but its shorter than look and still gives you what they're holding.

Generally I think people should use look more often because people's appearances do change.

If Joe smoe is in a bar and I walk in there are certain things i would notice immediatly,

IF joe is carrying a corpse around i  don't have to look at him to see or smell the dead guy

If he's waving a gun around, samething

A crobar

But if he's carrying a beer in a bar you wo uldn't really care or notice.

Is it really that much effort to look at people when you enter an area?

c'mon now kids, it's -always- worth looking at someone, to see if they've done interesting new things with thier description, if thier wearing something unusual, whatever, people miss so many details about people because they're too lazy to look.
