Gift wap bombs.
Present victim with present.

I know we're low on coding manpower. But I'd like to see the gift wrap station idea utilized for players to either approach an NPC in an appropriate place or have the ability themselves to craft and wrap bombs explosives within certain range sizes.

Ability to pick up on ticking sounds if meeting checks. Ability to rattle and feel something's off. These types of things. I won't go so far as to ask securing the pin to the bottom of the lid to detonate on yourself by opening your gift.

Wanted to toss out the idea for a little flavor to bombing.

A fatal error in the title. I'm not asking for explosive joys. I meant wrap.
This would be amazing for the holidays coming up. Make sure not to forget to let them be sniffed out by the sniffer, and defused with the EOD tool
I do think that at the very least a gift wrapping NPC should be placed somewhere in the AC mall.

One that will wrap contraband, just in case you wanted to wrap things like firearms as a gift.

There is a 2nd gift wrapper whom I forget is accessible to staff only or located in a more questionable location. They use a different wrapping of dubious quality highlighted by greasy recycled paper, and was often used for chyen payments a long time ago. I'd recommend identifying this NPC and placing it in the park if this hasn't already been done so and lost to time.
My instinct is that because gift wrapping has no real function beyond cosmetic roleplay, having gift wrapped bombs would just gradually eliminate all benign use of them until the standard proactive counterplay was just to trash all gifts by default.

I think there would need to be some gameplay sweetener for using wrapping/packaging to avoid that outcome if they're made trappable. Being able to buy one time use polymer shipping boxes, or being able to wrap multiple objects together (as builders can) would be a huge QoL feature and would almost certainly keep that kind of thing in regular use with players even if it's sometimes a bomb.

I feel like maybe instead of an NPC wrapping it, why not make Explosives players be able to rig more objects to explode?
I took one for the team here and tested if wrapping would suspend or save running timers on objects or not (spoiler: it doesn't).
