go nth direction
Reduce keystrokes for long travel legs

Rather than having to type out 13 instances of a direction followed by another 5 instances of the next direction, is it possible to be able to quantify how far you want to go numerically when walking, driving, or flying? so instead of 'go e e e e e e e e e e e e e s s s w…' you could type 'go e13 s3 w'?
I recall this has been suggested before. I don't remember what came of it.
This would be great.

'Go e s s s s e e e e e e e n' has been etched into my subconscious.

I completely agree with CryptPhoenix on that.

This would be a quality of life improvement.

I don't think this is codedly possible? Would definitely like input from a coder.
Technically feasible.
Just bumping this. This is very much needed please. It is pretty common to have to type out strings of 20 plus characters followed by twenty more of a different one. This takes a lot of time, and causes significant ooc stress if you miscount during the process, which is easy to do when the direction has multiple characters in it such as 'sw'.
I've had time to think about this and I don't think it would be healthy for the games interactions.

Folks already autopilot enough with what they can remember. This would increase the number of autopiloting players and decrease RP.

Instead, lets do two things:

flying and driving by visual references ($landmark objects) - fly or drive to something you can see by describing it - fly to kashflo, drive to encampment

stop lights at intersections in the city - crossing a street against the light, you might get hit by a vehicle like happens in other places right now. Driving would be stopped at a red light like traffic in the tubes now.

Further, you should be able to blockade an intersection strategically such that if the cross street is blocked off and the light is red for you, your vehicle doesn't stop. That way you can setup illegal street races.
10/10 This is a great way to address these issues. Thank you for the considerations Johnny.
