From my general experience, radios are typically left untouched due to the cumbersome commands required when using them.
IE: transmit "words" to radio
Phones and SIC are kings of communication before of their simple shorthand commands, so the Idea here is to come up with more simplified commands and/or a single shorthand command to facilitate and encourage their use more.
