Robot Part Idea: Kitty Collar

So, I know that robots are thought to be kind of at the bottom of the to-do list at the current moment, but I would like to suggest this to resolve a major issue, and that is that there is no way to actually be able to tell different felibots apart without the rigger going out of their way to appear unique. And even then it is only going to be combinations of Green, Grey, or Brown (for the most part).

Would it be possible to add a robot part that just displays what the robot is christened somewhere on their look description? I'd just suggest neck for a collar for companion models and just a name badge on the chest area. It might add some intrigue for when you see a cat on Green or Blue without a collar.

This should probably go a great way towards clearing up any confusion about what exactly we can know about a robot when it does suspicious things and how exactly to tell them apart.

I sort of like the ambiguity of it tbh. What you're suggesting would do the opposite of provide intrigue. If intrigue in this case is "I wonder who's felibot that is. Are they a corpo or a mixer feli? Are they my enemy‘s feli?", then being able to mark them would remove reliable robot spycraft overnight imo.
True.

But I never said it would be a requirement to have one attached. Maybe topside but that's also more on the espionage side of not wanting mixers (or worse) having the ability to freely roam Blue.

Strange cats could still run all over the place all over Red.

I do think there needs to be some way to combat small worlding of bots, especially in the Mix. Seeing a Felibot is often treated as way more suspicious and noteworthy than it probably should be in a city where they are ubiquitous.
What I mean is that marking them in some way let's people weed out which ones are or aren't their friends and they can just wholesale meta the rest as enemy bots.
