Shortdescs for clothes/nakeds
Ain't nobody got time to read your essays

I understand clothing value is still influenced by description length. What's the upper limit on that so people stop writing multi-page essays in there?

Could we also plz make it so the value is based on the @describe and make the @worns short so it's like with tattoos? That way I can look at a character and actually understand what they're wearing at a glance? Then I can 'look' at the item and, one day, when I'm on the shitter and the internet goes down, and my choices of entertainment are reading clothing descriptions from logs or the back of the shampoo bottle (and I've already played all my mobile games to death in this scenario) I can go more in-depth and appreciate the way every single thread is slightly differently orientated in your clothes.

TL;DR:

- Can we know what the upper limit of description length affecting clothing price is so people don't go over that just trying to game the system?

- Can we make the value based on @describe and make @worn short so it's equivalent to tattoos?

- Bonus idea - make it the same with nakeds in general. I don't care about the scintillating gradient of iridescent hues of ultraviolet in your pubes.

Its incredibly disappointing that this is how value is calculated if thats true. And probably should have been a foic thing that I would have literally never foic xD Which is just really funny and terrible for so many reasons. Length does not equal quality at all. I spend a lot of time trying to be succinct (still often ending up somewhat lengthy, but I at least try to make my stuff able to be absorbed)

Still, I would not love if we were hard limited here. Id rather like if it wasnt incentivized to make a massively long thing just for the sake of being long to add to value. You can "gl bob" and see what he's wearing. I use this often (especially to make sure Im wearing shoes :P)

Fair enough about glance. So overall I just think it'd be great if A. we knew how far the scaling between price and length goes so that people can scale back to that (assuming it's not that far) and B. perhaps have it depend even less on length because as you said, being longwinded doesn't necessarily make for good writing. Of course, doesn't mean we should limit people who are actually writing good long descriptions or just enjoy doing that.
Very high value clothing is usually just a measure of how much the player understands the black magic hellscape of what gets weighted towards the various characteristics, I'd just as soon see character counts get thrown out entirely as getting factored.

Of all the hundreds of items I've written, probably my favourite one had a 3 word @worn.

I think a character limit on worn wouldn't be the worst idea, if it was within reason, or perhaps scaled with your artistry. But I am iffy on putting hard limits on peoples creativity.
Playerbase already voted not to have a limit on nakeds. We have the glance command for getting a summary of what someone is wearing for this reason.

Clothing value is mainly a function of skill and material. Word count plays a part but excessive word count doesn't make clothes more valuable.
