Well not to be off topic from theme of things, but I was just thinking that even though alotta shit has happened from 2005 to 2090, wouldn't sports be around. Corporations are all over sports right now, its a guaranteed money maker. Maybe Withmore would have some type of horse track or stadium. Corporate owned of course, yet that way it also gives the people of withmore some more traditional type of entertainment. Sure there would be quite a few rule changes yet some sort of sport would be a great addition….i dunno maybe even boxing.

Been talked about, search for it and you should find the big long discussion. I believe some players are in the process of writing tv scripts to be aired like deathball or some such.

I dunno, I see SNFF more like the 2090 version on UFC or something.  But I get the point.  Yet I'd still like to see a good ole basketball game kinda like off of Escape from LA, or something of the sort.

Heh. That's exactly the reaction I got when I tried to explain SNFF to someone the other day. I keep forgetting that other people know of (and watch) NHB / MMA stuff.

I see NHB/MMA/UFC (/IFC/Pride/King of the Cage) as being evolved from boxing, and if that's as far as we've gotten in 2005 (there's a tournament in Australia that's incorporating Sumo wrestling moves, you can win by throw-out), then SNFF is the natural progression. :)

I know what you mean though, something like basketball or the like could be interesting.

The original concept of Sports is pretty old and has not been forgotten. There's simply a variety of things to consider when conceiving a sport. There's the essence of what sports are (as noted in a rant by Kevlar). The fusion of corporate interests and sports are delicious but putting raw code behind such things can have Drawbacks . As Tool noted, there are some sports in the works purely on a as seen on tv basis. These things take time though, ten pages of babble-on can essentially equate to a three minute broadcast. Then there are rules, which can be quite to difficult to describe in words when the game exists in a barely conceivable future but I'll try and chuck a teaser up when I get back to my house in a few days. :stoner:

You could always rp sports with a dead cat. Loser cooks.

I was going to get a sport going with one of my mixer chars. hehe.

But to name a few of the lesser known…

Organized fights, street raceing your Duo/or whatever,
paying a bum to try to make it to the finish line while you and your buddies hunt him (Like in that Van Damm movie), robbing a liqour store.....see..plenty of sports like activities are out there.
