I would very much like to see a permanent lighter as an installable piece of furniture, a la the smoking lamp. This device could be used to light all sorts of objects that would normally need a lighter but with the following benefits.
Doesn't require holding in hand! Now you can light your cig without losing or spilling your drink
It's permanently installed and always available.
It can drive traffic to a location.
This device could then be balanced out by making it pretty expensive, so that flarelighters and the like are still viable options.
