While commands to selectively wash hands and face technically exist and just aren't very widely implemented, with the ever more detailed cosmetic options (or blood splatters) that characters might be applying and removing, it's started to get pretty gamey to remove certain decorations and not others with different clothing coverages while showering.
Being able to wash a given naked to clear makeup/blood from it, where the shower or wash verbs are already available, which be pretty convenient and a bit more true to life than jumping in the shower with goggles and gloves on to switch lipsticks.
