Put simply…headlamp. Heck even a makeshift one. Craftable, buyable. We should absolutely be able to have a headlamp in the 22nd century.

It's by design that there's no convenient alternatives to getting night vision cybernetics. I don't agree with it, but that's how it has been explained by staff multiple times. It's unlikely that there will be any gear alternatives other than flashlights and flares for dealing with darkness as a result.

If it doesn't provide armor, and cannot be worn over or under armor, I don't see a reason this can't be a thing.
