So I tried resetting my character's password, I clicked the link in the email and waited for the next one and it never came, usually it comes really quickly so is there something wrong? What did I do wrong?

Check again. If it isn't there, check your spam. If it's there, flag it as not spam and continue as if you found it in the inbox.
