And just so everyone knows..  The reason I'm not on the MOO much lately is because I just recently got a new job..  graveyard shift.  So I'm working from 11pm EST to 7am EST.

And trying to sleep most other times.  Usually I'm on SD in the mornings though..  But usually no one else is..  or they're idling.

I think the NLM Grid is all you need graphics wise.. there's some pretty slick logos and ads on there already that really contribute to making things a little sexier.

I can't stand most 3-d computer game graphics. Half the time all the people look like they have down syndrome or some shit. Objects and textures are always going to be limited and require tons of time to make, whereas with pure text extremely detailed descriptions and subtleties depend only on how good the writer is and have so much more potential.

Graphics wise, 'corporate identity', media propaganda, all that stuff is great because it adds another -layer-, but to replace the 'actual' world with graphics will be a failure. It looks gay. Kind of like the new star wars movies.

Anyhow, Jman and I were actually talking about a graphic based MOO the other night, and came to the sad conclusion that unless it was pay-to-play so you can afford the massive team of people to build content, it won't happen. But…well... the way I see it is that SD will just click along as text based until emersive VR is ready to roll, then we'll jump over. By that time I will have won the lotto and be a millionaire and be able to hire all the SD staff to work full time on Sindome. Oh, yes, it will be a glorious thing...

As to the Less Shift Project... meh. Most of the stuff that will come out of that will be 'generic' and lower quality. Unproffessional. Sadly.
