while it my be short and sweet, it�s not really all that revealing�

yesh yesh, i know that it�s student work, different set of criteria then say someone who�s done in depth research. i�ve written papers for courses like that as well. but, it doesn�t really talk about gender in cyberpunk, either male -or- female, it doesn�t go into how cyberpunk, as the mutable genre it is, creates the context for and complicates those gender roles, the relationship between gender of author and character portrayals. it doesn't even delve into the 'women of CP' topic. other then saying �women characters where stereotyped a lot, now they sorta still are but not really because they are strong, here�s a bunch of quotes�

no analysis. i wouldn�t be so harsh on this poor little essay if i hadn�t read it before as an example of �great read on women in CP!�

Well i didnt build it up to be the best thing around, i thought it covered the majority of the topic very well without beating around the bush.

While you're right about it not covering cyberpunk complicating the gender roles, i think otherwise about it talking about gender in general.

It uses examples from several "cyberpunk" books to show how the authors went about expressing the change in roles between the two.

I must admit, i was too lazy to read all of the givin link, but i noticed it covered Molly better than in the first essay. Needless to say, though, it did beat around the bush quite a bit more than my liking. I guess its all in the type of reading you do, and what you want out of it.
