City of Darkness came up in OOC-Chat and it's one of my favourite books and worth getting or checking out if your local library has it, but I wanted to share some scans from it. Unfortunately these don't quite convey how beautifully printed some of these photos are but it gives an idea of the excellent photography.

For those that like the 九龍城寨 (walled city) aesthetic there are some movies out there that give a good dose of this scenery.
There is a newish 2024 Hong Kong release called 九龍城寨之圍城 (you can search this or you can find it under 'Walled In' or 'Twilight of the Warriors' in English) that can pretty easily be found online to watch. It's in Cantonese but most versions have English subtitles.
