How do you multi-task while playing SD?
Help, I can't look away from the scroll!

Healthy players of Sindome who manage to work/watch shows/game/do other stuff while playing Sindome, how do you do it? How often do you check the game to see if there's anything new on SIC or the Grid? What do you do if somebody is posing reaaaaaaaaally slow (in critical plot RP? in less important RP?)? Any other tips and tricks?

I end up staring at the scroll waiting for people to pose or for someone to pop up/reply on SIC/Grid/Progia/etc. How do I avoid that and what are some ways to make the most of the time I -am- actually focused mostly on the game?

If I'm in active RP, I do not multitask, out of respect to the players.

However most of the time I'm not, I got three monitors and watch for people contacting me, or if I want to do something fun contact them.

As someone who has a disability, I have the time to be on for most of the day, and there is no way I can pay attention all the time yet I want to be included -if- something happen. So I keep an eye on it. But during downtime (no rp) I just clean the house, watch a show and such.

I would say it's a delicate balance, don't multitask while active RP and when no RP do what else you want.

ADHD.

I will either hyper fixate on one thing or have to do ten things at once for fear of wasting time.

My average SD time is sindome open, ready for RP or RPing, two other game windows open, television on in the background and music on as well. Unless it's an incredibly important scene.

Hah, finally someone like me!
Same as Crashdown and Ociex. Four monitors, with game, SD another mud, youtube/streaming, and four monitor which is a little mini-touch screen I use like a digital postitnote.

I don't have diagnosed ADHD so I won't say 'ADHD' but I absolutely resonate with Crashdown on the whole fear of wasting time or hyper fixating.

ADHD here too, oftentimes I'm gaming.

BUT it's perfectly healthy to log off. Sometimes the FOMO actually presents an opportunity for more RP whenever you log back on - catching up with what happened, etc.

i haven’t really messed around with much in this game buts i can’t multitask with it. i feel like if i would try to it would just get overwhelming.
