TV's

Well, I'm lying here in my coffin, can't see shit, but all of a sudden I see this add on television.  It's really weird, I mean I don't even have an SIC chip.  Just out of curiousity why am I able to see this television in complete darkness, yet I can't shit else?

I know this is probably pretty stupid, but I had to ask, its been itching at the back of my brain.  Thanks.

Coffins have TVs in 'em.
The coffin has been converted into a living area.  And given the city is governed by corporations, and corporations generally advertise via television, they have gone through the trouble of installing televisions in these small living quarters.

The End.  :P

Okay maybe, but the thing is I have this TV, yet in the coffin description it just says that there is a faucet, sink, and mirror and also a mattress, but I don't get it.  The thing is so damn small, it says I can barely sit and lay down, where the hell is the TV gonna go?

I dunno I give up, besides why the hell are the corporates so damn determined to advertise in the coffins, knowing damn good and well that we that live in the coffins are entirely too damn broke to buy anything more expensive than a drink or too.

Oh well….

How big do you think the TV needs to be?
Flatscreens.  Not to mention very tiny and low-quality.

They advertise because they figue you'll buy something eventually that they advertised for.  There are TVs EVERYWHERE.  Its just the way the world is in this particular place and time.

Corporate rule in a Cyberpunk world.

Yeah, just because you stay in a coffin doesn't mean you won't buy stuff eventually.  Coffins are for people new to the city…eventually, you should move on, and then you can start doing your part to support the corporations.
I can't speak for other cities, but seoul has HUGE tv billboards everywhere, not to mention some smaller ones placed randomly about the city, mostly in storefronts and malls though.
Yep.

TVs in the malls and the trashcans talk to you.

*shits on the nearest mall and wanders off muttering*
