Browse is a command that works inside designated market areas within the game. The 'market' areas within the game are clearly marked via room nomenclature. 'Examine here' reveals room commands.
'browse' without argument: look for a random item appropriate to the market stall you are currently in.
'browse ': look for a specific item that matches the entered string, for instance, 'browse foo' will return a random item matching 'foo' in the item name, or a random item altogether if there is no match.
Skill may be required to recognize which stalls contain which categories of items.
