Admin have the ability to give a goldstar to players who they witness doing good works. This could be excellent RP, helping a newbie, helping with testing and more. You won't always get goldstars, and they have no tangible benefit aside from showing up when an admin checks your admin notes. They are a way for admin to note that a player did something positive. If you receive one, you don't have to take any action. You are simply being recognized for doing good. You will only be notified if you are online when the goldstar is granted, and the admin has the ability to add a goldstar without you being notified. There is no way to check how many goldstars you have been given. Receiving a goldstar also grants you +5 karma.
