GRID-FORUM-SEARCH
On Grid 4.0 you can search the forums. It's fairly intuitive but in case you want a more in depth understanding of how it works.
HOW TO USE
g topics search [search string]
Search string can be between 3 and 200 character.
WHAT IT SEARCHES
- Topic titles & subtitles (count more in ranking) ACROSS ALL FORUMS (not just the one you are in)
- All posts in the topic (count a bit less)
- Results are ordered by relevance (title/subtitle hits first, then post hits) and then by newer topics.
HOW THE SEARCH WORKS
- Typing multiple words means "find topics that contain all these words (anywhere)."
- cube hotel -> finds topics with both cube and hotel.
- Matches word families (run/runs/running; crash/crashes/crashed).
- Case-insensitive: Armor = armor.
- Stopwords ignored: Common words like the, a, is, to are dropped.
- No wildcards: engi wont match engine. Use full words.

LESS HELPFUL EXAMPLES (AND WHY)
- the is to -> Only stopwords; returns nothing useful.
- ok / idk -> Very short or vague; try a more specific term.
- engi ->Too partial; use engine.
TIPS FOR BETTER RESULTS
- Use 13 specific words. Think nouns/verbs that matter.
- Try synonyms if the first search is sparse: auto -> vehicle, gun -> firearm.
- Spell the whole word when you can (no wildcard support).
LIMITS
- Quotes dont force exact phrases.
- Prefix/wildcard search isnt enabled.
- Very short or common words might be ignored by the search engine.
