'memorize' is the command to remember IC information on your character in the game. That fixers new cell number, the code to your new apartment, the name of the hottie at the bar. 'memory' is used to recall information you have memorized.
You have a limited space to work with. It's based on your stats so it may grow and change over time.
There is no way to erase the information you have memorized. If you really want to remove something from your memory, you can memorize a bunch of new stuff and eventually you'll overwrite what you have previously memorized, one line at a time.
