There are stages of death on Sindome. If you are knocked unconscious you will wake up after a period of time. If you are put into the 'dead' state, this is a period in which your character is unable to wake up, but has not become a corpse. A sufficiently skilled doctor may be able to 'resuscitate' you at a clinic, or using special portable items. The dead state is progressive and after a period of time the dead person will become a corpse. This is not a long period of time so the window for resuscitation is short.
There are NPC doctors that can also perform resuscitations. Simply bring the dead person (who has not become a corpse) to the doctor and tell the doctor 'to docname Resuscitate '
