The development of nanotechnology has progressed to the point that enhancements to the human body are able to be engineered artificially at the cellular level. Nanogenic treatments now allow for various types of improvements and abilities that go beyond normal limits through the injection of nanites that can artificially manufacture new or improved tissues. These treatments are common among the elite of society but are often beyond affordable reach of the city's working poor.
